Craft your own ceremonial drum with traditional materials and methods.
Explore the deep ancient roots of drumming with Jacob as your guide, using historical folk-inspired techniques and rhythms.
Together with Inger, we will explore seeking rhythms in nature and develop our understanding of Rhythm as a language to commutate with the living and spirit world. We will also connect to our inner world and spirit through trance and journey work, crafting ritual sacred space together in the safety and support of kindred community

About your teachers:
Jacob is a drummer, percussionist, teacher, studio owner and founder of Thrymskapr. Based in his home land of Denmark, he has traveled around the world playing his music since 2010 and has over 16 albums released. Projects include Heilung, Virelai, Asynje and Auroq.
Jacob masters a wide spectrum within different rhythmic accompaniment. He has worked within many genres, like folktronica, early music, rock, metal, classical, jazz and folk. All the while, Jacob nurtured a great interest in the historical and folkloric background of instruments, sound and rhythms.
As a teacher, he has lead workshops for over a decade throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Sharing his lifelong passion with eager students of all ages and backgrounds, and helping them reach deep within to find their inner rhythmic force.
He strives to create a strong personal musical expression rooted in Nordic traditional music, and connect others across the world through the ancient universal power of the drum.
Inger Johanne: Hailing from Norway and brought up with an animist worldview, Inger Johanne has a lifelong fascination with ancestral knowledge and traditions. She is a certified psychotherapist specializing in nature-based therapy and has over 25 years of experience as a teacher and ritual facilitator around the world. Her courses invite participants to draw from a deep well of knowledge, with practical and approachable insight into bringing these practices to daily life. In 2017, Inger founded Ing.Borg, a Danish-Norwegian company offering drum-making courses, Nordic sweat lodge experiences, practical animism courses, and other workshops centered around ancient Nordic traditions. She also offers translations from English, Danish, and Norwegian into Old Norse and runes
